Shipping Information
Every GALAP piece is made to order and ships from our atelier in New York City. The terms below apply to all garments.
Within the United States
Shipping is covered by GALAP. Delivery takes 8–14 business days from the date your piece is completed, and every package is fully insured.
International
Shipping is quoted with your final balance rather than at checkout, as the cost depends on destination and dimensions. Duties, taxes and customs charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in your quote.
Express delivery
Express service of 3–5 days is available on request at $200–$300 depending on destination. Ask us before your balance is issued and we will add it to your invoice.
Insurance
We insure every shipment in both directions — the handwoven paja toquilla travelling from Ecuador to our atelier, and your finished garment travelling to you. If a piece is lost or damaged in transit, we handle the claim ourselves and produce a replacement at no charge to you.
When your piece ships
Production begins within 48 hours of your deposit and takes 5–8 weeks, or 3–4 weeks with rush service. Your balance is due 7 days before the ship date, and your piece is dispatched once payment clears. Ship dates are confirmed in writing, and we tell you immediately if anything changes.
On arrival
Open your parcel and try the piece on the day it arrives. If anything is wrong — a manufacturing fault, the wrong item or size, or damage in transit — email orders@galapcouture.com with photographs within 72 hours of delivery. We respond within 5 business days and send a prepaid return label. Fit is not covered, as sizing is confirmed by you at the time of order.
